The last movie I saw was “Shutter Island” of Martin Scorsese
I saw the last week with my boyfriend because we like movies of Scorsese, in specially “Mean Streets”, “Taxi Driver”, “The last temptation of Christ”, “Goodfellas”, “Shine a light” (Rolling Stone’s documentary) and The Departed.
The principal actor was Leonardo Dicaprio, and others actors was Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley and Michelle Williams.
The film tells a history about Teddy Daniels (U.S Marshall) in 1954, He’s assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston's Shutter Island “Ashecliffe Hospital”. He's been pushing for an assignment on the island for personal reasons, but before long he wonders whether he hasn't been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister. Teddy's shrewd investigating skills soon provide a promising lead, but the hospital refuses him access to records he suspects would break the case wide open. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more dangerous criminals "escape" in the confusion, and the puzzling, improbable clues multiply, Teddy begins to doubt everything - his memory, his partner, even his own sanity.
I liked the movie, but not so much than the others, I miss the action and the genius of the other films because films of crazy people there are many but nothing like the "the shining" and "psychosis" and this movie is not at that point.
Is a good movie for a Sunday evening, but I don’t considered like a cult movie.
