The last movie I saw

The last movie I saw was “Shutter Island” of Martin Scorsese

I saw the last week with my boyfriend because we like movies of Scorsese, in specially “Mean Streets”, “Taxi Driver”, “The last temptation of Christ”, “Goodfellas”, “Shine a light” (Rolling Stone’s documentary) and The Departed.

The principal actor was Leonardo Dicaprio, and others actors was Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley and Michelle Williams.

The film tells a history about Teddy Daniels (U.S Marshall) in 1954, He’s assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston's Shutter Island “Ashecliffe Hospital”. He's been pushing for an assignment on the island for personal reasons, but before long he wonders whether he hasn't been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister. Teddy's shrewd investigating skills soon provide a promising lead, but the hospital refuses him access to records he suspects would break the case wide open. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more dangerous criminals "escape" in the confusion, and the puzzling, improbable clues multiply, Teddy begins to doubt everything - his memory, his partner, even his own sanity.

I liked the movie, but not so much than the others, I miss the action and the genius of the other films because films of crazy people there are many but nothing like the "the shining" and "psychosis" and this movie is not at that point.

Is a good movie for a Sunday evening, but I don’t considered like a cult movie.

Rock Band!!!

My Favourite piece of technology is Rock Band Wii, it’s a musical instruments kit for video games simulating a real band. It was my gift of last birthday, in general I use when I am with friends in my house, they love play all together… is very funny and we play at least twice a month… but me, play very often, once or twice a week to be improving…

There are several versions of different bands for play… Classics rocks groups such as Journey, Bon Jovi, Rush, Metallica, Iron Maiden, System of a Down, Radiohead, Soundgarden, Nirvana, R.A.T.M, Beastie Boys and more…. also, there are others pop version with artist like Madonna, Britney, Nelly Furtado, Village People, etc. There are soundtracks too for play, like pretty woman, Aerosmith, Disney film’s music... Well, for everyone

But my favorite is The Beatles Rock Band… Is really great… there are songs from all albums and you can play like Harrison with Guitar, like Ringo with drums, like John with guitar or microphone or like Paul with microphone too… then 4 friends can be The Beatles and play very good songs...

Also you can play online… with others persons on the rest of the world, can be together or against… I can live without mi rock band but would be much more boring…

My Music!!!

Today I’m going to write about my favorite music… Actually, I Love music in general but I have my preferences… depending on my mood. When I’m sad or angry… I like listening energy music like punk rock or hard core, the groups that most hear are Nofx, Millencolin, Bad Religion, Pixies and others…

When I have to study often hear bossa nova, the melodies are exquisite and it help me to concentrate, I especially like Stan Getz, he isn’t a Bossa music, he is a jazz’s saxophonist but he introduces elements of jazz in classics bossa nova’s songs, is amazing! I also like listen in that moments John Coltrane a Miles Davis…. And I love the voice of Aretha Franklin!!!

When I was a teenager … I was very often to “toccatas”, very cheap concerts and very funny, almost always it was about a topic such as “animal liberation” or “veganism”, in that time I began to taste the Straight Edge (XXX), is music like a punk but with different content; the premise is like a song’s Minor Threat:

“I'm a person just like you
But I've got better things to do Than sit around and fuck my head Hang out with the living dead Snort white shit up my nose Pass out at the shows I don't even think about speed
That's something I just don't need”.

Until today, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and I don't take drugs.

As I said in a previous post… my favorite group in all my life are Los Prisioneros, y others groups that have been part of my life are; The Beatles, Faith no More and Mr. Bungle (Mike Patton’s bands); Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden (Classic grunge’s groups); Eterna Inocencia, Sudarshana, Shaila (Argentines band); Los Tres, Los Bunkers, La Ley…. And many more... =)
